Quarterly NMAG Membership Meeting Webinar
Wednesday May 30, 2018
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, MDT
Please note the following change to our next quarterly NMAG Member & Funder Meeting on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. We had a high interest in remote access and online participation and therefore the meeting will now be held in a Webinar format but will still take place on Wednesday May 30th, 2018. Our new meeting time is from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Travis Green, LOCUS Impact Investing
The topic for this meeting is “Perspectives on New Mexico’s Rural Philanthropic Sector”. Our special invited guest will be Travis Green from The Aspen Institute, Community Strategies Group and LOCUS Impact Investing. Travis will give a presentation on “Trends in Rural Philanthropy”. LOCUS is a new social enterprise to empower place-focused foundations to invest their capital locally to build prosperous, vibrant communities. Virginia Community Capital (VCC) and the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship launched LOCUS Impact Investing in 2017.
Cathy Frey will also share findings from NMAG’s new report, Philanthropy in New Mexico 2018 Edition. Dolores E. Roybal, Executive Director, Con Alma Health Foundation will also share “National Rural Health Perspectives: News from the National Rural Assembly & National Rural Health Association”.
This meeting is open to all NM Funders, Trustees, Board & Staff
