Northern New Mexico KIDS COUNT Conference: Improving Child Well-Being with Data, Policy & Advocacy.  Join Con Alma Health Foundation collaborating with New Mexico Voices for Children and several other partners in Española, New Mexico on March 22 to create a common space for sharing data and information, building relationships, and discussing actions we can take collectively to improve the lives of our kids and families moving forward. The Conference features national and local speakers, including: Nick Johnson, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, who will speak on the national policy landscape; Alvin Warren, WK Kellogg Foundation, who will speak about the need to take responsibility as a society for the well-being of all children; and Amber Wallin, NM Voices for Children, who will talk about some of the policy solutions to improving child well-being; among others. The conference will include local leadership via two community panel discussions. Dolores Roybal, PhD | Executive Director, Con Alma Health Foundation will moderate a panel on Health & Behavioral Health in Northern New Mexico. Panelists include: Lauren Reichelt, Director, Rio Arriba County HHS Dept. & Coordinator, Rio Arriba County Health Council; Patricia Gallegos, LMSW, former Community Service Manager, Dept. of Health, and NE Region Local Collaborative Alliance; and Governor Fredrick (Rick) Vigil, Pueblo of Tesuque.
