VP for Community Investment & Strategy, Santa Fe Community Foundation

Joohee Rand is the Vice President for Community Investment and Strategy at the Santa Fe Community Foundation.  She is responsible for the Foundation’s strategy development and impact investing and oversees strategic initiatives including birth to career collective impact initiatives and the Foundation’s education and economic opportunities areas of impact.   She is currently in transition to join the Anchorum St. Vincent as the VP for Philanthropy and Impact Investing (full time by January 1, 2020).  Active in regional and national impact investing and philanthropic collaboration efforts, she currently serves on the board of the Mission Investors Exchange, was founding chair of the New Mexico Impact Investing Collaborative, and serves on the advisory/steering committee of the Rainmakers Investment Collaborative and New Mexico Asset Funders Network.  Over the past two decades, Joohee has worked across philanthropic, nonprofit, corporate and public sectors in three countries.  In her previous career, Joohee was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Co advising cross-sector clients ranging from global high tech and financial corporations to national foundations.  She was a member of the Nonprofit Practice and Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice at McKinsey based in the San Francisco and Seoul Offices. She also worked as an independent consultant for philanthropic and educational organizations in New Mexico prior to joining the Foundation, was an Executive Director at a San Francisco-based nonprofit focused on college access and financial literacy education for low-income youth and worked as a Summer Associate at the Echoing Green Foundation in New York during her business school years.  Early in her career she worked at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Thailand as the special assistant to the Ambassador and diplomatic delegation on foreign affair correspondences and events.  Joohee holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a MPP from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Korea and a BA in General Management from the Assumption University in Thailand.
