Alliance for Justice
A national association of more than 100 organizations dedicated to advancing justice and democracy, with a host of resources on issues ranging from the environment to children, women, seniors and consumer issues.

Association of Small Foundations
A national association of foundations with few or no staff.

Board Source 
An organization that works with both board members and staff to strengthen nonprofit boards.

Center for Effective Philanthropy 
An organization dedicated to helping charitable foundations and other donors think and work more strategically.

Center for the Study of Philanthropy 
Information and working papers on progressive philanthropy. 

Council on Foundations
 
A national association of grantmakers.

The Foundation Center 
A wealth of information on grantmaking and grantseeking.

GrantCraft 
A project of the Ford Foundation, this Web site offers grantmakers tools, tips and techniques for effective grantmaking. GrantCraft offers guides, videos, and case studies that present the practitioner's view of philanthropy.

Grantmakers for Effective Organizations 
Grantmakers for Effective Organizations is dedicated to promoting learning and encouraging dialogue among funders committed to building strong and effective nonprofit organizations. GEO’s mission is to advance and expand organizational effectiveness practices in and by the philanthropy community.

GuideStar
 
Guidestar is a one-stop information resource with a database of over 850,000 nonprofits, independent foundations and grantmaking public charities.  It also features a resource exchange center, philanthropy news, and much more. 

National Center for Family Philanthropy
 
A wealth of information for trustee, staff and others involved with Family Foundations.

National Center for Charitable Statistics 
A project of the Urban Institute, this organization collects and distributes information on nonprofits for use by the government, research and nonprofit communities. 

National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy 
A self-described progressive organization looking at new ways for philanthropy to be effective.

The Philanthropy Roundtable 
This site includes information on the publication Philanthropy, as well as their other publications.

Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers
New Mexico Association of Grantmakers is one of many Regional Associations of Grantmakers (RAs) around the country. You may use this link to find one in another area.
